Sunseed Oil Limited is a leading private cooking oil manufacturing company in Malawi. Established in 2002, the Company has a magnificent state of the art factory located in Lumbadzi along the M1 Road. The magnificent monument, built on highest European Standards, has established itself as a top-class manufacturer of cooking oil locally and in the region. Sunseed Oil Limited extracts and refines oil from locally grown oilseeds especially soybeans and sunflower.

The factory was established in solidarity to the Malawi Government’s priority of promoting value addition and agro-processing as part of the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy II (MGDS-II). In addition, it is also in harmony with National Export Strategy (NES) under oil seed products cluster (cake export and cooking oil exports). The company registers tremendous growth annually (SADC and COMESA) through innovative business models and management which integrate local communities and smallholder farmer for sustainable rural livelihoods.
