First Merchant Bank (FMB) has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing Mgodi wa Makwacha promotion citing a positive response from tobacco and club farmers.
FMB agriculture business manager Gomezgani Kakhuta said the Malawi stock Exchange (MSE) listed bank knows that agriculture is the backbone of the country hence the need to motivate farmers.
He said as FMB, they are excited to work closely with farmers and they that they will always work hard to excite them.
One thousands clubs participated in the promotion.
During the draw, which was conducted on Thursday in Lilongwe, three farmers club, Tafika from Dowa, Mwapase from Limbe and Mbawa from Lilongwe won various prizes.
For instance, Tafika Club went home with K100,000, while Mwapase received 10 cell phones. Mbawa were given 10 T-shirts.
