A new microfinance company is seeking a highly analytical and diligent Risk Officer to establish and manage our comprehensive risk and compliance framework. You will be the central figure in identifying, assessing, and mitigating credit, operational, and regulatory risks across the entire organization.

Your responsibilities will include refining our credit assessment policies, ensuring strict adherence to RBM and AML/CFT regulations, and stress-testing our portfolio. You will champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct, ensuring that our rapid growth is built on a secure and resilient foundation.

Ideal Candidate:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a dedicated risk management or compliance role within the financial services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of RBM regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and credit risk modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Direct experience in the Malawian microfinance or banking sector is essential for this role.
